ABOUT COUNTERPILOT

With a core team of interdisciplinary artists, Counterpilot produces interactive performance works that boldly experiment with the audience experience. We seek to transform the familiar, juxtaposing rich fictional worlds against a backdrop of the everyday.

Our work has been seen in festivals across Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and the Sunshine Coast. TRUTHMACHINE (2019) received three awards at the 2019 Adelaide Fringe, and CRUNCH TIME (2018) was recognised with the Lord Mayor’s Award for Best New Australian Work at the 2018 Matilda Awards.

Our work has been described as “obviously brilliant” (The Age on CRUNCH TIME), a “psychedelic emotional experience” (4ZZZ on SPECTATE), and “spectacularly clever on so many levels, in a way probably never seen before” (Blue Curtains Brisbane on SPECTATE).

”An enigmatic live art conspiracy which all the cool kids will want to join... no one else is making work quite like this.”
- THE AGE
